Jacob’s Ladder
The ladder pulses with a golden glow, shimmering as though woven from light itself. At the summit, a radiant light shines, hinting at the presence of God—an immense, compassionate gaze that watches over Jacob sleeping below encompassing all who seek connection with the divine. The ground below is dark and humble, representing Jacob’s mortal journey, while above, the ladder is alive with hope, carrying the promise of covenant and the reassurance that heaven touches earth, even in moments of solitude and despair. The painting breathes with mystery and awe, capturing Jacob’s vulnerability and the unfathomable power of the dream—a vision of divine mercy descending into the ordinary.
Repentance
A scene filled with intensity and strong emotion, sin, repentance and forgiveness. Moses, descending mount Sinai smashes the first set of tablets, enraged by the sight of the children of Israel worshipping a golden calf. This moment of brokenness and humility, sin and anger, serves as a crucial turning point, a new beginning showcasing the power of acknowledging one’s mistakes and seeking forgiveness. Through this process, the Jewish people demonstrated their faith and commitment to God despite their human flaws. Reflecting on their actions, seeking reconciliation, and ultimately strengthen their relationship with God.
The Covenant on Sinai

I love this very vibrant painting using uplifting shades of turquoise, cerulean and cobalt blues. This awesome painting holds a special place in my heart. The escape of the Jewish people from the darkness towards the light, full of hope and promise. A spiritual and emotional transformation that would forever shape the identity of the Jewish people. As they crossed the sea, walls of water towering on either side, the sheer miracle enveloped them. Bathed in the light of the divine, they knew that they had been truly blessed by a miracle of epic proportion. Gold leaf, glass crystals, texture and vibrant colours symbolise the richness of freedom.
